Thanks for being interested in the Grand Valley Power board elections! A lot of people don’t realize they can help choose the path GVP takes by voting for board members.
As a candidate for the Grand Valley Power Board, I support real choice, fair and transparent power pricing for everyone, wholesale cost saving to members, data driven solutions, locally generated power, and increasing member participation.
Goal: 25% of members voting in board elections. Currently it is much less.
MoreSome important decisions the board will make this by the end of this year that will affect all members include:
At Grand Valley Power, our members want a few simple things: fair prices, helpful customer service, and power they can count on. To make that happen, we need a strong Board of Directors who can make smart choices and balance costs, technology, and operations. I believe members should also expect GVP to make data driven decisions.
The most important qualification is to have a passion for the community and a willingness to actively serve and learn. I do have that passion, but what else do I bring to the table?
I'm a Data Analysis with Mesa County where I use statistics, programming, databases and presentation tools to help community members understand and explain things they are interested in. I have also make tools to help people collect data they need to make decisions.
With my skill set I can bring a better and deeper understanding of electric usage and growth within the GVP service area.
