Upcoming Important Board Decisions

Some important decisions the board will make this by the end of this year that will affect all members include:

  • Choosing a new CEO – A company that helps find top leaders has been hired. GVP hopes to have a new CEO early next year. The new CEO must understand and be creative with solution for member solar installations a growing segment of GVP members.
  • Looking at how rates and bills are set – A consultant has been hired to help review the current prices member pay and establish what adjustments are needed.

Member Expectations

At Grand Valley Power, our members want a few simple things: fair prices, helpful customer service, and power they can count on. To make that happen, we need a strong Board of Directors who can make smart choices and balance costs, technology, and operations. I believe members should also expect GVP to make data driven decisions.

What do I bring to the table?

The most important qualification is to have a passion for the community and a willingness to actively serve and learn. I do have that passion, but what else do I bring to the table?

I'm a Data Analysis with Mesa County where I use statistics, programming, databases and presentation tools to help community members understand and explain things they are interested in. I have also make tools to help people collect data they need to make decisions.

With my skill set I can bring a better and deeper understanding of electric usage and growth within the GVP service area.
